Recreational Mathematics and Yoga ?

Recreational mathematics? Some people might say “how could there be such a thing”? Other people enjoy solving puzzles such as magic squares and Sudoku.

Charlie Kelly, who teaches yoga at QHYL, sees beauty and balance in both yoga and mathematics. Plus, the online mathematics journal at Cambridge University, published the first in a series of articles written by Charlie. You can see the article here: http://plus.maths.org/content/maths-magic-squares-0

Charlie and the editors tried to make the article easy to read for people who don’t have a background in mathematics. They deferred complex mathematics until later articles in the series. The last paragraph of the article describes the contents of future articles. You are invited to read the article and/or attend Charlie’s classes at Quantum Health and Yoga Lounge.
