What is Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT) (biopuncture, aquapuncture)?

-APIT is the injection of sterile botanical substances such as herbal extracts, homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. This may also include regenerative therapies such as acuprolotherapy, mesotherapy, and neural therapy.

-This leading technique is the fastest growing and widely accepted medical modalities in the world.

-"APIT is the injection at an acupuncture point of a small amount of a drug, vitamin, saline, or plant extract and is a recent innovation of traditional acupuncture and aims to enhance and prolong the effects stimulation of acupuncture points."  Med Gen Med 2004:6(4);45 PMCID: PMC1480551

-APIT utilizes Traditional Chinese Medicine's meridian system by stimulating acupuncture points with the injection of small amounts of medicinal/botanical substances therefore obtaining a dual effect of acu-point stimulation and pharmacological effect of the substance injected.

*As of 2016, Kinsey is only accepting new Acupuncture patients.
